Award Requirements:

1. Excellent Construction Team Award – Building Project 傑出建造團隊大獎 (建築工程項目)
  • Nominated project’s contract value exceeds HKD 200 million(Letter of Award or other related document that indicated the contract value shall be provided as verification)
  • Projects of New Works and A&A Works can be nominated under this category
  • All types of buildings including residential, non-residential, GIC (Government, institution or community) or non-GIC infrastructure are eligible to apply
  • Nominations are open to Landlords, Developers, Contractors, Government and Statutory Bodies.
  • To demonstrate the collaboration of the construction team in performing construction project administration and execution for success in project completion in terms of EHS, quality, time, and cost.
  • Nominees are required to enroll in all the 5 Award Categories (A-E) per entry.
  • Only one Grand Award will be presented amongst all projects. Other shortlisted projects will be presented with Distinction / Merits.
1A. Construction Manager Award 營造師大獎
  • To lead and direct the team to assume responsibilities for all aspects of construction projects concerning the agreed method, procedure, budget and specifications, and regulatory compliance.
  • To plan and coordinate the work of the main contractor, subcontractors, specialist contractors, and suppliers.
  • To coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, surveyors, specialist consultants, contractors, and Government Departments.
  • To administrate, evaluate, review, and report on EHS, quality, progress, and cost of works, adjusting schedules where necessary.
  • Finalists will be awarded the Grand Award Winner(s) or Merit(s).
1B. Site Manager Award 地盤經理大獎
  • To plan, organize, direct, and coordinate all activities and resources on a construction site for completion of works.
  • To coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, surveyors, specialist consultants, contractors, and Government Departments.
  • To execute works concerning the agreed method, procedure, budget, specifications and EHS policies in collaboration with all parties and through team members.
  • Finalists will be awarded the Grand Award Winner(s) or Merit(s).
1C. Engineer Award 工程師大獎
  • To coordinate and manage building services/structural/civil engineering works or ABWF works and provide effective construction solutions.
  • To execute various project activities from planning, procurement, documentation, design, CSD/CBWD coordination, installation, site supervision, commissioning, operation and maintenance.
  • To use technical engineering skills in the design and/or drawings coordination to enhance the projects’ development or predict future problems.
  • Included but not limited to continuously dealing with the contract, subcontracts, and procurement for maintaining a healthy and reasonable financial environment. Provide professional advices such as cost/benefit analysis; value engineering to facilitate maximum gain for the projects.
  • Finalists will be awarded the Grand Award Winner(s) or Merit(s).
1D. EHS Officer Award 環境健康安全管理人員大獎
  • To manage and maintain risk management approach to support and implement company policies on “accident / incident prevention” in the aspects of the environment, health, and safety.
  • To control, supervise, and complied with work systems.
  • Finalists will be awarded the Grand Award Winner(s) or Merit(s).
1E. Construction Supervisor Award 營造監工大獎
  • To supervise and coordinate daily site activities in pursuit of work quality, progress, and EHS.
  • To receive and inspect materials and works.
  • Finalists will be awarded the Grand Award Winner(s) or Merit(s).
2. Excellent Construction Team Award – Civil Project 傑出建造團隊大獎 (土木工程)
  • Nominated project’s contract value exceeds HKD 200 million(Letter of Award or other related document that indicated the contract value shall be provided as verification)
  • All types of civil projects including Public Works Projects or Improvements that are not defined merely as a Building Project, including but not limited to public works such as roads, bridges, portworks, , drainages, sewage systems, underground utilities foundations, pilings, railways ,slopes, reclamations, site formations and different kind of infrastructure construction.
  • Nominations are open to Landlords, Developers, Contractors, Government and Statutory Bodies.
  • To demonstrate the collaboration of the construction team in performing construction project administration and execution for success in project completion in terms of EHS, quality, time, and cost.
  • Nominees are required to enroll in all the 6 Award Categories (A-F) per entry.
  • Only one Grand Award will be presented amongst all projects. Other shortlisted projects will be presented with Distinction / Merits.

2B. Site Manager Award 地盤經理大獎
  • To plan, organize, direct, and coordinate all activities and resources on a construction site for completion of works.
  • To coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, surveyors, specialist consultants, contractors, and Government Departments.
  • To liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and all relevant external and internal parties, to resolve site problems and ensure deliver of the project.
  • To supervise and execute all site works concerning the agreed method, procedure, budget, specifications and EHS policies in collaboration with all parties and through team members.
  • Finalists will be awarded the Grand Award Winner(s) or Merit(s).
2C. Technical Manager 技術經理大獎
  • To manage all technical aspects of civil projects, including temporary works design, Contractor’s design, engineering solutions to technical problems, and specifications.
  • To prepare and review technical documentation, such as project plans, layouts, programmes, technical proposals, drawings and engineering reports.
  • To use technical engineering skills in the design and/or drawings coordination to enhance the projects’ development and resolve envisaged problems.
  • Finalists will be awarded the Grand Award Winner(s) or Merit(s).
2D. Engineer Award 工程師大獎
  • To coordinate and manage structural/civil engineering works or ABWF works and provide effective construction solutions.
  • To execute various project activities from planning, procurement, documentation, site supervision, commissioning and operation.
  • To use technical engineering skills in the design and/or drawings coordination to enhance the projects’ development or predict future problems.

  • Young talent (those that was born on or after 7 June 1984) who performs as a leading role in project management with outstanding performance.
  • To lead and direct the team to assume responsibilities for all aspects of construction projects following the agreed method, procedure, budget and specifications, and regulatory compliance.
  • To plan and coordinate work with the main contractor, subcontractors, specialist contractors, and suppliers.
  • To coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, surveyors, specialist consultants, contractors, and Government Departments.
  • To administrate, evaluate, review, and report on EHS, quality, progress, and cost of works and adjust relevant schedules as necessary.
  • Finalists will be awarded the Grand Award Winner(s) or Merit(s).
4. Outstanding Achievement Award 傑出成就大獎
  • To be appointed by HKICM to honour the receiver’s contribution to the industry.
